Zaakira Harris, the founder of N. Marie Events, is a Howard University alumna with over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry and 7 years in event planning. With a deep passion for creating unforgettable events, Zaakira’s love for planning weddings and celebrations began at a young age, inspired by her mother, Nicholette, the ultimate planner and host for all family gatherings and holiday events. Watching her mother effortlessly bring people together sparked Zaakira’s interest in event planning, a passion that was further solidified after watching The Wedding Planner, a movie that ultimately sealed her destiny in the industry.
With expertise in full-service wedding planning, partial planning, and day-of coordination, N. Marie Events works with couples across Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Baltimore, bringing their wedding visions to life with seamless execution and thoughtful design.
