Zaakira Harris, the founder of N. Marie Events, is a Howard University alumna with over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry and 7 years in event planning. With a deep passion for creating unforgettable events, Zaakira’s love for planning weddings and celebrations began at a young age, inspired by her mother, Nicholette, the ultimate planner and host for all family gatherings and holiday events. Watching her mother effortlessly bring people together sparked Zaakira’s interest in event planning, a passion that was further solidified after watching The Wedding Planner, a movie that ultimately sealed her fate.
Zaakira’s expertise spans a wide range of wedding traditions, and she has had the privilege of working with couples from diverse backgrounds.
