Founded by Zaakira Harris, N. Marie Events was built on a simple idea: that every couple deserves a planner who is as invested in their day as they are. With over 15 years in hospitality and 8 years in wedding planning, Zaakira has worked across some of the most iconic venues in the DMV, including the Hay-Adams, The Willard, Riggs Hotel, Omni Hotel, District Winery, Meridian House and Larz Anderson House. That experience means we know these spaces, we know the vendors, and we know how to make your wedding feel effortless no matter where you choose to celebrate.

 

We specialize in weddings that honor who you really are, including your culture, your traditions, and the people who matter most to you. We have had the privilege of celebrating Vietnamese, Indian, Ethiopian, Jewish, Catholic and many other ceremonies across Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia and Baltimore, and every one has deepened our appreciation for how personal and meaningful a wedding truly is.
